Misty came into the Montgomery County Animal Care and Control with 3 puppies. She was there for over a month. She has a tumor on her chest - so we knew she would not be adopted. We took her to the vet where we discovered she was heart worm positive and has cancer. We are treating the heart worms and will have the tumor removed as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, Misty is living the good life in her foster home. We will keep you posted on her progress.
DONATE TODAY TO HELP MISTY & OTHERS UPDATE MAY 10, 2019 Remember Misty!!!! She was in Montgomery County Animal Care and Control last year for two months. She had come in as a stray with three puppies and had a huge tumor on her chest. We pulled her in July and took her to the vet to have the tumor checked - and found out that day that she was also heart worm positive. She had little chance of survival at the shelter. So we kept her - and over the last 10 months - she has had the tumor removed (no cancer), has been spayed, has been adopted, and yesterday - we found out she is now HEART WORM NEGATIVE. She is truly a miracle - and a testament to what love can do. Another life saved by The Montgomery County Angel Fund. Thank you to all who support us!
