MEET Baron Here is his story: The name Baron was chosen for this cat because it means “young warrior”. (His foster mom says Baron is also noble as he sits around the house in a very proud manner.) Baron was found injured and stray in Clarksville, TN by Officer Journey at Montgomery County Animal Care and Control. Officer Journey wanted to help him and asked us for assistance. Baron had his tail taken off right after he was found as it was in terrible shape and infected. His shoulder also was injured and will require surgery. Baron is currently in a foster home with other cats and dogs and loves everyone he meets. He enjoys sitting with his foster family and watching TV. He always tells you if he’s hungry. His foster family believes he doesn’t know he’s a cat and thinks he’s human. At about 5 years old, he should have a long life ahead of him if we can get him all fixed up. Please consider donating for Baron’s shoulder surgery. All donations go directly to pay veterinary bills for Montgomery County animals in need. DONATE HERE MEET Hollow We are always reviewing posts on FB for animals in need. And we responded to a plea on Saturday. Read below the post from Hollow’s angel and now foster mom. “I’m headed to whatever vet will help me! I found this kitten by the college, and it was walking into the road - so I lured it and got it away from the road. However, he seems really weak and maybe sick. This was two days ago; he has a scratch on his nose like somebody threw him out and he hit his nose. It was raining and cold that day. And he’s much weaker today. Help someone guide me to a vet that WILL help! I cannot keep this kitty or afford it’s bills but I want to help it so bad. It’s amazing - the first day he was really mean and scared but today only I can hold him. I gained his trust, and I want to help him so bad. I need donations PLEASE! It’ll be $200 for me to get him the stuff he needs to get him into a home! How can the community help??" This is exactly why The Montgomery County Angel Fund was started. We told this wonderful person that we would help. The vet bill was $175. Hollow needed an exam, a few tests, fluids, de-worming, and meds for Coccidia. Here is Hollow's journey since Saturday -- "He was seriously sick and weak and was unable to keep his temp up the day I took him into the vet. They didn’t think he’d make it past that evening. Everyday I’ve spent with him I’ve given him warm milk (kitten replacement), love, and a warm bed . He’s upgraded from a small cage to a large cage (he’s capable of escaping from it.) ALSO he now meows and plays and jumps and climbs! He’s come such a long ways in just 5 days with the help from a few people and the The Montgomery County Angel Fund. I’ve decided to name him Hollow because when I found him he was so cold and hollow. But today he’s full of such JOY! Eventually Hollow will be looking for his forever home but for now he’s in my care and I’ll be sure to fill him with so much love and care!" Another life saved - and thank you to Hollow's angel for saving him! What an amazing story!!! If you would like to donate to Hollow's vet bill please do so: DONATE TODAY
